Our Medical Providers

Richard A. Flygare, PA-C, Ph.D., officially joined the professional staff of North Idaho Dermatology in September 2000, making him the longest-serving member of our clinical staff.

Richard received his Bachelor of Science degree in health sciences from Brigham Young University and his Master of Science in clinical medicine from the University of Iowa College of Medicine. He completed his doctorate in health sciences with an emphasis in research at Touro University International College of Health Sciences in September 2008. Richard is a diplomate of the Society of Dermatology Physician Associates (SDPA) and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of the SDPA. He holds a Certificate of Additional Qualification in dermatology from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Associates.

He practices full-time at our Sandpoint location, focuses on medical dermatology, and has special interests in skin cancer diagnosis, dermoscopy, and contact allergic dermatitis.

Before joining NID, he provided full-time dermatology care at Fairchild AFB while serving in the Air Force with the late Dr. Stephen Craig, M.D., the founder of NID and our first chief of staff.
